Why is my car Leaking Oil?

We're sure you've heard the importance of getting an oil change. BUT have you heard the consequences when you don’t change your oil?

Oil is a key component for your car’s engine; good, clean oil allows all the parts of your engine to work together smoothly. Over time, your oil becomes dirty, when that happens friction is created and the parts of your engine begin to rub together and wear down. This can create pockets and holes in your engine and your oil will begin leaking out.

Signs your car may have an oil leak:

1. Dark puddles under your car.

2. Smoke coming from the engine or exhaust

3. A burning smell when the engine is running

4. Low oil levels

  • Oil light has turned on.

  • You or a mechanic have measured your oil levels

Ignoring an oil leak will only grow into a larger, much more expensive and time consuming repair. The longer you wait, the more components will start to wear down and the more parts you will need to fix/replace.
